Reikoku and the late NVA days

After the early tactical pvp disasters, each NVA corp nominated one person they felt was their best tactician. These "MIB" members were to take control of any PVP situation and utilise all NVA forces possible against any enemy.
DB Preacher was one of the MIB as was Galavet later on.

Now in principle this should have worked very well. With only one person in control, victories should have been forthcoming. However, in reality, the people nominated as MIB's were either crap at tactical pvp or AWOL for too many fights. Few people in the MIB list impressed Reikoku and it got to the stage where we simply declined to fight for anyone other than a couple of people who knew their blaster from their miner.

Up until this point, the NVA had been taking severe losses, both military and industrial, to a small 4 man corp named the Jokers. They were a tight group of PVP'ers who essentially controlled EC-P8R (the Gate to Venal from empire). No-one in NVA seemed to be able to kill a Joker and this made EC-P8R an absolute kill-zone for NVA pilots. When the Jokers weren't there, SPVD would be.

I remember the fear from NVA pilots when they had to make a run down to empire. They would constantly ask for information in the NVA channel as to the situation in EC-P8R. No-one seemed to want to put in the effort to clear it out.

So Reikoku moved to Torrinos with the sole intention of clearing out EC-P8R. We did well in the beginning, chasing pirates away and gate camping with a few other NVA BS, we didn't get many kills, but we were successful in keeping it safe for other pilots and the kills we did get were very high profile ones:

Things would get better though. Through our dealings with Celestial Apocalypse, Reikoku hinted strongly that they should join the NVA. Jade took note and pushed through three new PVP corps into the alliance - Celest, Deathstar International (DSIN) and Millenium.

Reikoku knew Millenium from our time in the Blackhand Guerrilas but Deathstar were a new corp to us. Both had been put forward by Miso to join the NVA. One of our directors - agrizla - had a large disagreement with them in the past and he quit Eve completely when DSIN joined the NVA, so we were slightly uneasy at working with them to begin with.

When these corps joined, Jade, Miso and myself had the idea that in order to clear out the gates to venal, we would create a Southern Fleet. They would be the fleet responsible for keeping the route to Empire safe. DB Preacher was voted as the Southern NVA Fleet Commander.

So JF/RKK/DSIN/CELEST/MILLENIUM moved to torrinos en masse and began killing pirates. We scored kills against the Joker Corp forcing them out of EC-P8R. We frustrated the SPVD through our constant patrols that they moved out also. In less than a month we cleared out the Gates of Venal, succeeding where the whole of the NVA had failed previously.

In my opinion, the NVA should have been congratulating us and supporting us in every way. Instead they backstabbed us. The remaining corps up north appeared jealous of our tight corp relations, they believed we were attempting a coup to pull away from the NVA and form our own Alliance.

None of that was true... we had spoken of strengthening relations between JF/RKK/DSIN/CELEST/MILLENIUM but only because we worked well together. We found out that the other corps in the NVA had been spying on the JF private forums although they wouldn't admit who it was. The main problems seemed to be Oberon, CDI, RONA and KIA who seemed intent on blaming all the problems of the NVA on Jericho Fraction. They believed we were becoming too powerful and they would lose control.

In the end they stripped Jade of her role as spokesperson for the NVA. A move that Jade should have fought but relinquished in an attempt to heal the NVA. Still they weren't happy. Then came the straw that, for Reikoku, broke the camel's back. The NVA attempted to join forces with Biomass (now called the Forsaken Empire). These were the very pirates who had spent the last 6 months attempting to destroy the NVA. Why this decision was made is beyond me and Reikoku were not happy.

One of the determining factors for the join was that Jade was kicked from the NVA. This went through and obviously Jericho Fraction went with her. After seeing this betrayal against one of the strongest members of the NVA, Reikoku had absolutely no desire to stay with the NVA and instantly quit.

Shortly after leaving the NVA we were offered Mercenary Contracts from all sides asking to go back and hit the NVA for their treachery. We decided against that because it would make us no better than they were.

Reikoku is an honourable corp, we fight for what we believe is right and don't take any old mercenary contract. Only those that we feel are just or essential.

Ahh. Good times. I remember fighting along side RKK against the stuff in Pureblind. I even have a picture of our mighty BlackBird fleet somewhere.

Him and Grade didnt get on, lets just say their personalities clashed.

We put him on the KOS list simply 'cause of that, it was someone else to shoot at for a laugh. :D

No, something happened between them in the providence region one day, not sure as it only involved them both.

Grade never did tell me exactly what.

But if it did involve some "cyberbabe" it wouldnt surprise me comin from Grade.

The sad bastard actually got off on chattin "women" up ingame.

Me and agrizla actually spent our eve days trying to hunt down and kill anyone we saw from Deathstar International without much luck...they all ran.. :( This was before agrizla joined RKK btw.

Shame that hes quit the game completely now. :(
